Ted from South Wales, United KingdomNicely done Jeff and good exposure that has brought out the details in the clouds. 28 Nov 2008 11:25am @Ted: Thanks Ted. @Alun Lambert: Ah well, you can't get em all can you. Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesAhhhhhhhhh, Mike & I would surely love a place such as this ....... it would certainly be an anniversary treat! 28 Nov 2008 3:54pm @Judy: At one time Ullapool was the centre of the Herring industry,Russian factory ships filled the Loch, and the trawlers brought there catches directly to them..I dont think it was quite so idyllic then. Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealandgreat composition jeff. Wonderful warm blues:-) 28 Nov 2008 8:50pm jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandWhat great composition of this shot Jeff I love it 28 Nov 2008 9:07pm @jamesy: Thanks Jamesy. Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesThose look to be large fishing craft! I'm surprised this loch would support the fish population to support such craft. Good image, by the way Jeff - well done. 29 Nov 2008 2:46am @Stephen Phillips: The Loch opens out into the Minches, and then into the North Atlantic..Nowdays they mainly fish for Prawn, Crab, and Clams, but it was not always like this,<see my reply to Judy>. |
